Spring 2013 Project Healing Waters Event

HW Group

Beautiful Spring time weather welcomed the veterans, who traveled from Long Beach and the high desert to Jess Ranch Lakes, where they enjoyed the expertise of the Project Healing Waters and HDFF volunteers. Jess Ranch Lakes provided HDFF with the use of its fly fishing ponds for the day. The Lakes also donated hamburgers and hot dogs for the barbecue.
Local high desert COP volunteers prepared and served lunch. Local Fire Fighters and law enforcement were also on hand to lend support.

HDFF has been hosting these events for several years and hopes to continue with many more. A big “Thank You” goes out to Jess Ranch Lakes and all those who donated their time and skills. The day really couldn’t have been better!
